KGI confirms Apple to release Three iPhones this year

According to KGI securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo, Apple is planning to release three devices. Two OLED models with 5.8 inches and 6.5 inches & one LCD model with 6.1 inches. Among three of them 6.5" OLED devices may be iPhone X Plus.

After releasing news of iPhone 2018 models, KGI says Apple will have to sold only 62 millions iPhone x which are lower than expected i.e. 80 millions. Where 9To5Mac report states that the 2018 models of Apple will replace 2017 iPhones lineup that means Apple could stop making of iPhone X once 2018 models released.

KGI says iPhone X failed to keep it's roots in Chinese markets. It says Chinese mobile users sticking with their existing phone over long time. One of the reason making larger screen devices is Chinese users prefers large-screen phones and they believes there is not as much usable screen space in notch design of iPhone x as the 5.5 inches phone models.

“We believe the addition of 6.5-inch OLED and 6.1-inch LCD iPhone models will boost Apple’s market share in China, and that the US$650-750 6.1-inch LCD iPhone will make it easier for users worldwide to own a 3D sensing and full-screen design iPhone which offers an innovative user experience.”

The 6.1 inches LCD model will be priced lower than iPhone x and it is expected between $650-750 range. Two new OLED model will target high-end market where new LCD model will aims at low-end market.

Kuo goes on to say that all three models will likely come equipped with a full-screen notched design and TrueDepth camera system like that seen on the iPhone X
